Georgia Voll powered Australia to victory over India in the second ODI, scoring her second international century as the Aussies sealed the series with a game to spare.
The 22-year-old top-scored with 101 from 82 balls, including 13 fours and a six. India’s fielding lapses helped her reach the milestone, with drops from Kranti Gaud and Smriti Mandhana and a fumble from wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh allowing Voll to sneak through for the winning single on 99.
Voll partnered with Phoebe Litchfield, who made 80 off 62 balls, putting on 119 runs for the second wicket after captain Alyssa Healy was bowled for six by Kashvee Gautam. She later added 82 from 67 balls with Beth Mooney before falling to Gautam in the 31st over.
Deepti Sharma dismissed Mooney and Annabel Sutherland, but Ash Gardner finished the innings, guiding Australia to victory with 83 balls remaining. The win secured the series for Australia in Healy’s final ODI series before retirement.
Earlier, India’s Pratika Rawal scored 52 off 81, sharing a 78-run opening stand with Smriti Mandhana. However, four wickets in 7.4 overs caused India to slump to 103-4. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur anchored the innings with 54 from 70 deliveries, helping India post 251-9.
Ash Gardner, Annabel Sutherland, and Alana King each claimed two wickets, contributing to Australia’s dominant performance.
