Authorities have closed Kensington Gardens after a suspected drone threat linked to a nearby diplomatic site triggered a major security response.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they are investigating several discarded items found in the park. The probe follows the circulation of an online video in which a group claimed to have targeted the Embassy of Israel in London using drones carrying hazardous substances.

Officials stated that the embassy was not attacked and that all staff remain safe. Police also said they do not believe there is any immediate risk to the public at this stage.

Security teams have sealed off the park, and it will remain closed while investigations continue. Authorities have urged the public to avoid the area.

Specialist units, including chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) teams, have been deployed to assess the situation. Officers have been seen working near key locations within the park, including the bandstand and the Round Pond.

Emergency services have responded in large numbers. The London Fire Brigade sent fire investigation teams and detection dogs, while the London Ambulance Service deployed its hazardous area response unit.

Counter-terrorism officers are leading the investigation. Matt Jukes said authorities are working urgently to verify the authenticity of the video and determine whether it is connected to the items found in the park.

Police divers have also searched parts of the area, indicating a thorough examination of all potential risks.

While officials continue to assess the situation, they have emphasized that there is currently no confirmed threat. Investigations remain ongoing as authorities work to ensure public safety and clarify the circumstances behind the incident.
