Iran launched retaliatory strikes across the Middle East after accusing the US and Israel of carrying out a massive attack against it.

A luxury hotel in Dubai caught fire during the strikes. Verified videos showed flames rising from Fairmont The Palm. Thick black smoke covered the sky above Palm Jumeirah.

Local officials said four people were injured in the fire. Authorities did not release further details.

Early Sunday, the Dubai Media Office confirmed that four people were also wounded in an incident at Dubai International Airport. Officials reported minor damage to one concourse.

Several Gulf countries responded quickly. Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait said they intercepted missiles fired toward their territory. These countries host US military bases.

In Bahrain, large smoke plumes rose near the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Manama. Authorities confirmed an attack on Naval Support Activity Bahrain. The full extent of the damage remains unclear.

In Qatar, the defence ministry said it intercepted missiles aimed at Al Udeid Air Base, the largest US military base in the region.

Another verified video showed the moment a missile hit near the Dubai hotel. A large orange fireball erupted on impact. Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene.

Iranian state media earlier reported that Iran had launched attacks on Dubai. Officials have not confirmed the exact targets.

A British resident near Dubai Marina said she heard a loud explosion. She saw black smoke rising and missiles being intercepted in the sky for several minutes.

The UAE Ministry of Defence said it intercepted several drones and missiles. It called the strikes a clear violation of national sovereignty and international law.

The US maintains around 13 military bases across the Middle East. Between 30,000 and 40,000 troops are usually stationed in the region.

In Bahrain’s capital, Manama, a drone struck a tower building. It exploded into a bright yellow fireball. Bahrain’s Interior Ministry later confirmed that three buildings in Manama and Muharraq suffered damage from drone attacks and falling debris. Officials said they brought fires at one site under control.

The situation remains tense as regional leaders assess the damage and prepare for possible further escalation.
