Sunrisers Hyderabad grabbed their first victory of IPL 2026. They comfortably defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 65 runs at Eden Gardens.

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma blazed 82 runs for the first wicket in just 5.4 overs. Head smashed 46 before falling, while Abhishek fired 48. Heinrich Klaasen then boosted the total with 52 off 35 balls as SRH posted 226-8.

KKR’s chase exploded early. David Payne leaked 25 runs in the first over as Finn Allen hammered three fours and two sixes. But KKR crumbled fast.

Allen holed out to spinner Harsh Dubey for 28. Angkrish Raghuvanshi raced to 52 before a run-out. Cameron Green followed for just 2, also run out.

Jaydev Unadkat starred with 3-21, grabbing the final wicket. KKR folded for 161 in 16.1 overs after losing their first two matches. SRH marked the tournament’s first win for a team batting first.Sunrisers Hyderabad beat KKR
