Robert MacIntyre faces potential disciplinary action at the Masters. The Scottish left-hander flashed a middle finger at the 15th green after a quadruple bogey disaster. His nine on the par-five plunged him down the leaderboard to an eight-over 80.
MacIntyre’s approach shot hit the front pond. After a penalty drop, his next attempt found water again. His third drop led to overshooting the green entirely.
The 29-year-old unleashed fury elsewhere too. He slammed his club after a poor 17th approach and skipped media duties. He swore following a wayward 12th tee shot and a misfired 13th putt, though he saved pars both times.
Masters organizers enforce strict conduct rules. MacIntyre entered as a contender after fourth at Players Championship and Texas Open runner-up. Rory McIlroy and Sam Burns lead at five-under 67.
