A missile fell into a residential area in Doha, Qatar, after it was likely intercepted mid-air, according to footage captured on mobile phones by local residents.

The video shows debris dropping rapidly from the sky before striking the ground in a populated neighborhood. A loud explosion follows the impact, sending dust and smoke into the air. Residents can be heard shouting in shock as the object crashes down.

Security sources suggest air defence systems successfully intercepted the incoming missile. However, parts of the projectile appear to have broken apart and fallen onto civilian areas. Authorities have not yet released full details about casualties or damage.

Emergency teams quickly responded to the scene. Police cordoned off the affected area while medical crews assessed the situation. Officials urged residents to remain indoors and avoid the impact site until safety checks were completed.

The incident highlights the growing risks faced by civilians as regional missile exchanges continue. Even when defence systems intercept threats, falling debris can still pose serious danger to populated areas.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely while reinforcing air defence measures to protect urban centers.
