This weekend’s penultimate round of the Six Nations could decide the championship. France can claim back-to-back titles with a win over Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Ireland, under Andy Farrell, need a strong performance against Wales on Friday to remain in contention. Should Ireland win without a bonus point, or lose, France only needs a victory of any margin in Edinburgh to secure the crown.

A bonus-point win for Fabien Galthie’s side, who have collected maximum points in every game so far, guarantees the Six Nations title regardless of other outcomes.

If France loses but still earns at least one point, or Scotland wins without a bonus point, France retains control due to a superior points difference.

Scotland can still win the championship with a bonus-point victory at Murrayfield, provided France earns no points. In that case, Scotland would need another maximum-point win against Ireland in Dublin in the final round.

Ireland, having missed out on a bonus point against Italy, will likely need France to lose both remaining games to keep their title hopes alive. France faces England in the final round, while Italy travel to Cardiff to meet Wales.
