Fast bowler Haris Rauf will be a marquee player in the upcoming The Hundred 2026 auction, leading 13 other Pakistani men on the final list.

The auction list has been trimmed from 712 men and 253 women registered last month, leaving 247 men and 178 women. Rauf, 32, is among the first 10 male players to be auctioned and carries the highest reserve price of £100,000.

The 14 Pakistani men represent the third-largest overseas group, behind South Africa (19) and Australia (18). In the women’s auction, two Pakistani players—Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana—made the final list after four initial nominations.

The women’s auction is scheduled for Wednesday, 11 March, and the men’s auction follows on 12 March.

Franchises nominated players they were interested in; a player only needed one team’s nomination to enter the final auction list. Notable absentees include former England all-rounder Moeen Ali, who received no nominations, while Ben Stokes did not register, focusing on his Test commitments.

Following reports that IPL-linked franchises—MI London, Manchester Super Giants, Sunrisers Leeds, and Southern Brave—might avoid Pakistani players, the ECB clarified selection rules.

A joint statement from the ECB and the eight teams confirmed:

“All eight teams commit to selection based solely on cricketing performance, availability, and the needs of each team. The ECB is committed to ensuring there is no place for discrimination, and has regulations in place to take robust action to tackle any such conduct. Players must not be excluded on the grounds of their nationality.”

This ensures Pakistani players, including Rauf, can compete fairly in The Hundred 2026.
