Pakistan Deploys Fighter Jets to Saudi Arabia Under Defence Agreement

Pakistan has sent a military force along with fighter jets to Saudi Arabia as part of a strengthened defence cooperation arrangement between the two countries, according to a statement issued by the Saudi defence ministry.

Forces Arrive at King Abdulaziz Air Base

The Saudi defence ministry confirmed that Pakistani aircraft and personnel arrived at the King Abdulaziz Air Base in the eastern province. The deployment is aimed at enhancing joint operational readiness and improving military coordination between the two allied forces.

Strengthening Joint Military Cooperation

According to the official statement, the Pakistani contingent includes fighter and support aircraft from the Pakistan Air Force. The move is intended to deepen defence collaboration and improve preparedness through joint exercises and operational integration between the two countries.

Deployment Comes Amid Regional Security Tensions

The deployment reportedly follows recent attacks on energy infrastructure in the region, which heightened security concerns. Officials said the presence of Pakistani forces is intended to reassure Riyadh of support under the existing defence framework.

Strategic Defence Pact Between Both Nations

The development comes after Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a “Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement” last year, pledging that any attack on either country would be treated as an act of aggression against both. The agreement reflects long-standing military and economic ties between the two nations.

Longstanding Strategic Partnership

Relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have historically included defence cooperation, economic assistance, and energy partnerships. The latest deployment further reinforces their strategic alliance amid ongoing regional instability.
