THE BACHELORETTE will not return for its upcoming season after serious allegations surfaced involving its lead star, Taylor Frankie Paul.

Network ABC confirmed that it has decided to cancel the season following the release of footage that appears to show an altercation between Paul and her former partner, Dakota Mortensen, in 2023.

The video, recently made public, raised concerns due to its connection to a past incident. Paul was arrested at the time and later admitted to an aggravated assault charge, according to reports.

The show had been scheduled to premiere shortly, making the decision a significant last-minute change. The network has not yet announced what will replace the program in its broadcast schedule.

The parent company, Disney, stated that the decision followed the emergence of the footage. The company acted quickly after reviewing the situation.

Before the cancellation, Paul had appeared on a morning show to promote the series. During the interview, she acknowledged the difficult timing of the situation and the impact of recent headlines.

The controversy has also affected another project linked to Paul. Production on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has paused, with cast members expressing discomfort about continuing filming under current circumstances.

Paul rose to fame through social media, particularly as part of the #MomTok community. Her personal life has often drawn public attention, including her past marriage, relationships, and appearances on reality television.

The cancellation highlights how off-screen issues can quickly impact major entertainment productions. Networks are increasingly responding to public concerns and reputational risks when making programming decisions.
