Tottenham Hotspur has ended Igor Tudor’s time as interim head coach after only 44 days in charge. The club confirmed that both sides agreed to part ways with immediate effect.
Tudor managed the team for seven matches after replacing Thomas Frank in February. However, results failed to improve during his short spell. Tottenham lost five of those seven games across all competitions.
The decision followed a heavy 3-0 home defeat against Nottingham Forest on 22 March. That loss pushed Spurs down to 17th place in the table, leaving them just one point above the relegation zone with only a few matches left in the season.
Alongside Tudor, goalkeeping coach Tomislav Rogic and fitness coach Riccardo Ragnacci have also left the club.
The club thanked the coaching staff for their effort and professionalism during a difficult period. Officials acknowledged that Tudor recently suffered a personal loss and expressed their support for him and his family.
Tudor did not speak to the media after the Forest defeat due to the passing of his father.
Tottenham has not yet named a permanent replacement. The club plans to announce its next head coach soon as it looks to avoid relegation and stabilize its season.
