Wiles shared the news in a public statement. She highlighted that many women face the same challenge and continue to live active and productive lives.

“Nearly one in eight women in the United States receives this diagnosis,” she said. “Every day, these women care for their families, work in their communities, and move forward with determination. I now stand among them.”

Trump Praises His Top Adviser

President Donald Trump publicly supported Wiles after her announcement. He described her as one of his most trusted advisers and praised her determination.

Trump said Wiles is a strong and dedicated leader who remains committed to serving the American people. He expressed confidence that she will recover and continue her important work.

The president also confirmed that Wiles will keep working while receiving treatment. She plans to perform most of her duties remotely from the White House.

Early Detection Gives Hope

Wiles did not share detailed information about her treatment plan. However, she confirmed that doctors discovered the cancer early.

Because of early detection, medical experts expect a strong prognosis. Early diagnosis often improves treatment outcomes for patients with breast cancer.

Health experts estimate that the United States recorded about 316,000 new cases of female breast cancer in 2025, according to the National Institutes of Health.

First Woman to Hold the Role

Wiles made history as the first woman to serve as White House Chief of Staff. The position holds significant influence in the administration because the chief of staff manages the president’s schedule and policy priorities.

She has built a reputation as one of Trump’s most influential political advisers.

Shortly after announcing her diagnosis, Wiles appeared with the president at an event discussing the future of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington.

Trump praised her again during the event and expressed confidence in her recovery.

Key Figure in Trump’s Political Success

Wiles has spent decades working in American politics. She played a major role in organizing Trump’s political comeback and helped guide his 2024 presidential campaign.

Many political observers consider her one of the most powerful advisers in the administration.

Her leadership style focuses on working with Trump’s political instincts rather than trying to control them. This approach has helped her maintain strong influence within the White House.

As she begins treatment, Wiles says she will continue serving in her role and remain focused on her responsibilities.
