MEGHAN, DUCHESS OF SUSSEX will appear as a guest judge on a new season of the popular cooking show MasterChef Australia, according to broadcaster Network Ten.
The episode featuring Meghan was filmed in Melbourne on Wednesday, and the upcoming season is scheduled to premiere on 19 April. Her appearance adds a high-profile name to one of Australia’s most widely watched cooking competitions.
Meghan and her husband Prince Harry are currently in Australia for a four-day visit, marking their first trip to the country since 2018. The couple, who are no longer working members of the royal family, are travelling in a private capacity.
During their visit, both have taken part in a mix of charitable engagements and public events. Prince Harry spent part of Wednesday with an Australian Rules football team, where he participated in a training session, and also visited the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
Earlier in the week, the couple visited the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, where they were greeted by large crowds. Meghan also spent time at a women’s refuge, serving food to residents and speaking with staff.
Prince Harry is also scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at the InterEdge Psychosocial Safety Summit in Melbourne later this week. Ticket prices for the event range from A$1,000 to A$2,400, with proceeds being donated to the charity Lifeline. Organisers have not confirmed whether he will receive a speaking fee.
Meanwhile, Meghan is set to take part in an “in-person conversation” at a women-only retreat in Sydney on Saturday. The event offers premium packages, including group photographs with the duchess, and has not yet sold out.
The couple will continue their Australian itinerary with further engagements in Melbourne before travelling on to Sydney.
