The incident took place in Golders Green, where attackers set fire to four ambulances belonging to Hatzola during the early hours of Monday. Gas canisters inside the vehicles triggered multiple explosions, causing significant damage.

Police Examine Possible International Links

Mark Rowley, head of the Metropolitan Police, confirmed that investigators are exploring several leads. These include potential connections to groups with links to Iran.

He stated that threats linked to Iran have increased rapidly in recent years. However, officials have not yet confirmed any direct involvement in this case.

Attack Treated as Hate Crime

Police believe three suspects carried out the attack. Investigators are treating the case as an antisemitic hate crime rather than an act of terrorism.

Authorities are also reviewing an online claim of responsibility posted by a group calling itself Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya. The group has claimed involvement in other incidents across Europe, though officials have not verified its role in this attack.

Increased Security Measures

In response to the incident, police have strengthened security across Jewish communities in London. Authorities have deployed 264 additional officers and increased visible armed patrols to reassure residents and prevent further incidents.

About the Targeted Charity

Hatzola operates as a volunteer-based emergency medical service. The organization provides free medical assistance and transport to hospitals.

Since 1979, it has served the local community in Golders Green, an area known for its large Jewish population. The neighborhood includes many synagogues, and nearly half of its residents identify as Jewish.

Ongoing Investigation

Police continue to investigate all possible motives and connections. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant while they work to identify those responsible.
