Cristiano Ronaldo Trophies Explained: Complete Club and Portugal Trophy List
Cristiano Ronaldo trophies tell a different story from Cristiano Ronaldo goals.
Goals measure individual output.
Trophies measure what happened to the teams around him.
Across more than two decades of senior football, Ronaldo has lifted silverware with Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al Nassr and Portugal.
The collection includes:
- five UEFA Champions League titles;
- eight domestic league championships;
- four FIFA Club World Cups;
- domestic cups in England, Spain and Italy;
- UEFA Euro 2016;
- two UEFA Nations League titles;
- and, since May 2026, his first Saudi Pro League championship.
That final achievement added an important new chapter.
Cristiano Ronaldo had already won league titles in England, Spain and Italy. In May 2026, he scored twice as Al Nassr defeated Damac 4-1 on the final day to win the 2025–26 Saudi Pro League, giving Ronaldo an eighth league championship across four countries.
But there is a complication.
Search for the total number of Cristiano Ronaldo trophies, and different websites may give different answers.
Some say 35.
Others say 36 or even more.
That does not necessarily mean somebody cannot count.
Different trophy lists use different rules regarding whether a player must have appeared in a competition or final, whether certain super cups are credited to an individual who was unavailable, and how regional competitions such as the Arab Club Champions Cup are classified.
For this article, The News Ink uses a conservative player-honours methodology.
Under that approach, Cristiano Ronaldo has 35 senior team trophies as of September 2026.
The important thing is not simply publishing one number.
It is explaining exactly what is being counted.
For Ronaldo’s full career, goals, records and legacy, start with The News Ink’s Cristiano Ronaldo main pillar.
How Many Trophies Has Cristiano Ronaldo Won?
Using the methodology explained in this article, the Cristiano Ronaldo trophies total is 35 senior team honours.
| Team | Trophies Counted |
|---|---|
| Sporting CP | 1 |
| Manchester United | 9 |
| Real Madrid | 15 |
| Juventus | 5 |
| Al Nassr | 2 |
| Portugal | 3 |
| Total | 35 |
This methodology aligns closely with official historical descriptions of Ronaldo’s individual trophy career.
FIFA’s March 2026 profile described him as winning nine trophies with Manchester United, leaving Real Madrid with 15 trophies, and winning five titles with Juventus. FIFA also noted his Arab Club Champions Cup success with Al Nassr.
Portugal subsequently provides three senior titles: Euro 2016 and Nations League triumphs in 2019 and 2025.
The Saudi Pro League title in May 2026 then added another major trophy.
Why Some Sources Give Ronaldo a Different Trophy Total
Before looking at every title, this issue deserves clarification.
Real Madrid’s official Cristiano Ronaldo legend page lists 16 team trophies during his nine seasons at the club:
- four Champions Leagues;
- three Club World Cups;
- three UEFA Super Cups;
- two La Liga titles;
- two Copa del Rey titles;
- two Spanish Super Cups.
That mathematically equals 16.
Yet FIFA’s 2026 Ronaldo profile describes him as leaving Madrid with 15 trophies.
Why?
One important difference concerns the 2016 UEFA Super Cup.
Real Madrid won it, but Ronaldo did not participate because he was recovering from the knee injury suffered in the Euro 2016 final. UEFA explicitly listed Cristiano Ronaldo as unavailable for the match.
So there are two legitimate approaches:
Club-tenure method:
Count every trophy the club won while Ronaldo belonged to the squad.
Player-honours method:
Use the more conservative individual trophy list based on participation/credited honours.
This article uses the second method for the headline 35 Cristiano Ronaldo trophies figure.
That explanation is much stronger editorially than pretending all football databases use an identical system.
Cristiano Ronaldo Trophies by Team
Ronaldo’s trophy cabinet can be divided into six stages:
Sporting CP → Manchester United → Real Madrid → Juventus → Al Nassr → Portugal
Each tells a different part of his career.
Sporting CP: Ronaldo’s First Trophy
The first of the Cristiano Ronaldo trophies arrived before he became a global superstar.
Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira — 2002
Sporting CP won the Portuguese Super Cup in August 2002, defeating Leixões 5-1.
Cristiano Ronaldo was part of the Sporting squad.
Sporting’s own historical material specifically identifies the 2002 Supertaça as Ronaldo’s first super-cup triumph and the first such trophy of his career.
He was still only 17.
Within a year, he would leave Sporting for Manchester United.
So the Sporting section of the Cristiano Ronaldo trophies list contains only one honour, but it carries symbolic importance.
It was the beginning.
Cristiano Ronaldo Trophies at Manchester United
Manchester United was where Ronaldo’s trophy cabinet expanded dramatically.
FIFA describes Ronaldo as winning nine trophies with United during his first spell.
The most important were three consecutive Premier League titles and his first Champions League.
Manchester United Trophy List
| Competition | Titles |
|---|---|
| Premier League | 3 |
| FA Cup | 1 |
| League Cup | 2 |
| Community Shield | 1 |
| UEFA Champions League | 1 |
| FIFA Club World Cup | 1 |
| Total counted | 9 |
FA Cup — 2003–04
Ronaldo’s first major English trophy came during his debut season.
Manchester United defeated Millwall 3-0 in the FA Cup final.
Ronaldo scored in the match.
The trophy provided the first major indication that the teenage winger could contribute at the highest level of English football.
League Cup — 2005–06
Manchester United defeated Wigan Athletic in the final.
The club’s own historical retrospective identifies it as early silverware for Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.
Premier League — 2006–07
This was Ronaldo’s first league championship.
Manchester United regained the English title from Chelsea.
Ronaldo had developed far beyond the inexperienced winger who arrived in 2003.
Premier League and Champions League — 2007–08
The 2007–08 campaign became one of the defining seasons of Ronaldo’s career.
Manchester United won both the Premier League and Champions League.
Ronaldo scored 31 Premier League goals and finished as the division’s Golden Boot winner.
In the Champions League final against Chelsea, he scored Manchester United’s goal before the match was eventually decided by a penalty shootout.
The European title became Ronaldo’s first Champions League trophy.
Premier League — 2008–09
Manchester United retained the championship again.
That gave Ronaldo three consecutive Premier League winner’s medals:
2007
2008
2009
The Premier League’s current records continue to credit Ronaldo as a three-time champion.
FIFA Club World Cup — 2008
Manchester United also won the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan after defeating LDU Quito.
This meant Ronaldo left England in 2009 having won major domestic, European and world club honours.
His second Manchester United spell from 2021 to 2022 added goals but no new team trophies.
Real Madrid: The Largest Cristiano Ronaldo Trophy Collection
No club contributed more to the Cristiano Ronaldo trophies collection than Real Madrid.
Using the player-credit methodology, Ronaldo accumulated 15 trophies during his time in Spain.
Real Madrid’s club page lists 16 team titles during his nine-season tenure, reflecting the broader club-tenure method discussed earlier.
The Madrid period included his greatest concentration of Champions League success.
Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid Trophy List
| Competition | Count Used Here |
|---|---|
| UEFA Champions League | 4 |
| FIFA Club World Cup | 3 |
| UEFA Super Cup | 2* |
| La Liga | 2 |
| Copa del Rey | 2 |
| Spanish Super Cup | 2 |
| Total | 15 |
*The conservative personal-honours count excludes the 2016 UEFA Super Cup Ronaldo missed through injury. Real Madrid’s club history lists all three UEFA Super Cups won during his tenure.
Copa del Rey — 2010–11
Ronaldo’s first major trophy with Real Madrid came against Barcelona.
The Copa del Rey final remained goalless through 90 minutes.
In extra time, Ronaldo headed home Ángel Di María’s cross.
Madrid won 1-0.
It was an important trophy because Real Madrid were competing against one of Barcelona’s greatest teams.
La Liga — 2011–12
The first Spanish league championship of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Madrid career arrived under José Mourinho.
Real Madrid finished with 100 points.
Ronaldo scored 46 league goals.
This trophy was particularly significant because it broke Barcelona’s run of three consecutive La Liga championships.
UEFA Champions League — 2013–14
This was La Décima.
Real Madrid had been waiting since 2002 for its tenth European Cup.
Ronaldo produced a historic campaign.
He scored 17 Champions League goals, still the competition record for one season.
Real Madrid defeated Atlético Madrid 4-1 after extra time in the final.
The title became Ronaldo’s second Champions League overall and first with Madrid.
Four Champions League Titles With Real Madrid
Cristiano Ronaldo eventually won the Champions League with Real Madrid in:
2014
2016
2017
2018
Combined with Manchester United’s 2008 triumph, Ronaldo won the tournament five times.
UEFA confirms that he became the first player to win five Champions League finals in the competition’s modern era.
His trophy sequence in Madrid was particularly extraordinary:
four Champions Leagues in five seasons.
That period is explored more deeply in The News Ink’s Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.
Three FIFA Club World Cups With Madrid
Cristiano Ronaldo also won the FIFA Club World Cup with Real Madrid in:
2014
2016
2017
Combined with Manchester United’s 2008 title, that gives Ronaldo four FIFA Club World Cup trophies.
Those championships reflected Madrid’s European dominance because qualification generally followed Champions League success.
Two La Liga Titles
For all of Ronaldo’s extraordinary scoring in Spain, he won La Liga only twice:
2011–12
2016–17
That is an important piece of balance.
Cristiano Ronaldo trophies at Madrid were weighted heavily toward Europe.
Barcelona remained extremely strong during much of his time in Spain, making domestic league championships difficult to accumulate.
Two Copa del Rey Titles
Ronaldo’s Madrid side also won the Spanish cup in:
2010–11
2013–14
The second came during the same season in which Madrid won La Décima.
Spanish and European Super Cups
The trophy cabinet also included Spanish Super Cup success and UEFA Super Cup victories.
The 2014 UEFA Super Cup was particularly memorable for Ronaldo personally.
He scored both goals as Real Madrid defeated Sevilla 2-0. UEFA’s historical review confirms his double.
Juventus: Five More Cristiano Ronaldo Trophies
Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Juventus in 2018 at age 33.
The move raised a new question:
Could he continue winning after leaving the environment where he had achieved so much?
The answer domestically was yes.
Juventus officially says Ronaldo left after three seasons with 101 goals and five trophies.
Juventus Trophy List
| Competition | Titles |
|---|---|
| Serie A | 2 |
| Coppa Italia | 1 |
| Supercoppa Italiana | 2 |
| Total | 5 |
Serie A — 2018–19
Ronaldo won the Italian league in his first season.
That gave him league championships in England, Spain and Italy.
Supercoppa Italiana — 2018
Ronaldo scored the winning goal against AC Milan.
It was his first trophy with Juventus.
Serie A — 2019–20
Juventus retained the championship the following season.
This gave Ronaldo consecutive Serie A titles.
Supercoppa Italiana — 2020
Juventus defeated Napoli to win another Italian Super Cup.
Coppa Italia — 2020–21
The Coppa Italia completed Ronaldo’s five-trophy Juventus period.
However, one trophy remained missing.
Juventus never won the Champions League with Ronaldo.
That matters because European success was one of the main expectations surrounding his transfer from Real Madrid.
Al Nassr: Cristiano Ronaldo Finally Wins the Saudi Pro League
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr after leaving Manchester United.
For several seasons, his scoring remained prolific but the Saudi league trophy did not arrive.
That changed in 2026.
Arab Club Champions Cup — 2023
Ronaldo helped Al Nassr win the Arab Club Champions Cup shortly after moving to Saudi Arabia.
FIFA’s 2026 profile identifies the competition among his Al Nassr achievements.
The tournament should be described accurately.
It is a regional Arab club competition.
It is not the AFC Champions League and should not be presented as one.
Saudi Pro League — 2025–26
This became the much more important Al Nassr trophy.
On May 21, 2026, Al Nassr entered the final league match needing victory against Damac.
Ronaldo scored twice.
Al Nassr won 4-1 and secured its first Saudi top-flight championship since 2019.
Ronaldo finished the league campaign with 28 goals.
The trophy gave him league championships in four different countries:
- England;
- Spain;
- Italy;
- Saudi Arabia.
BBC Sport described it as the eighth league championship of Ronaldo’s career.
Cristiano Ronaldo League Titles
| Country | Club | League Titles |
|---|---|---|
| England | Manchester United | 3 |
| Spain | Real Madrid | 2 |
| Italy | Juventus | 2 |
| Saudi Arabia | Al Nassr | 1 |
| Total | — | 8 |
This 2026 title is one of the most important updates for any current Cristiano Ronaldo trophies article.
Older pages saying Ronaldo never won the Saudi Pro League are now outdated.
Portugal: Three International Trophies
The Cristiano Ronaldo trophies collection would look very different without his international success.
For years, one of the major criticisms of Ronaldo’s career was that Portugal had never won a major senior international championship.
That changed in 2016.
UEFA Euro 2016
Portugal defeated France 1-0 after extra time in the Euro 2016 final.
Éder scored the winning goal.
Ronaldo started the match but suffered an injury and was forced off during the first half.
Despite leaving the final early, he had contributed throughout the tournament and remained Portugal captain.
UEFA described the victory as Portugal’s first major tournament trophy.
The significance for Ronaldo was enormous.
He had experienced defeat in the Euro 2004 final at home.
Twelve years later, he lifted the European Championship trophy.
UEFA Nations League — 2019
Portugal then won the inaugural UEFA Nations League.
Ronaldo scored a hat-trick against Switzerland in the semi-final.
Portugal defeated the Netherlands 1-0 in the final through Gonçalo Guedes.
UEFA confirms Portugal as the inaugural Nations League champion.
Ronaldo now had two international team trophies.
UEFA Nations League — 2025
Six years later, Portugal won the competition again.
This time the final came against Spain.
Portugal twice came from behind to draw 2-2.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored Portugal’s second equalizer.
Portugal then won the penalty shootout 5-3, becoming the first nation to win the Nations League twice.
At 40, Ronaldo was still directly contributing to international silverware.

Which Cristiano Ronaldo Trophy Is the Most Important?
There is no objective answer.
Different trophies represent different stages.
2008 Champions League
This confirmed Ronaldo as one of football’s biggest stars and helped lead to his first Ballon d’Or.
2014 Champions League
La Décima ended Real Madrid’s long wait for its tenth European Cup.
Ronaldo scored a record 17 goals during the campaign.
Euro 2016
Portugal’s first major senior international trophy transformed Ronaldo’s international legacy.
2017 Champions League
Real Madrid became the first team to retain the Champions League in its modern format, and Ronaldo scored twice in the final against Juventus.
2025 Nations League
Winning international silverware again at 40 demonstrated his exceptional longevity.
2026 Saudi Pro League
This gave Ronaldo league titles in a fourth country and finally delivered the domestic Saudi championship he had pursued since joining Al Nassr.
Each trophy tells a different story.
Cristiano Ronaldo Has Five Champions League Titles
The Champions League is the competition most closely connected to Ronaldo’s club career.
His five titles came in:
Manchester United — 2008
Real Madrid — 2014
Real Madrid — 2016
Real Madrid — 2017
Real Madrid — 2018
UEFA confirms Ronaldo was the first player to reach five Champions League final victories in the modern Champions League era.
However, this is no longer the outright player record.
As of 2026, UEFA lists Dani Carvajal and Luka Modrić with six Champions League final wins, one ahead of Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos on five.
For the full European record book, read The News Ink’s Cristiano Ronaldo Champions League Records.
Ronaldo Has Eight League Championships
One of the strongest ways to understand Cristiano Ronaldo trophies is through domestic leagues.
Ronaldo has now been part of championship-winning teams in four countries.
Premier League — 3
La Liga — 2
Serie A — 2
Saudi Pro League — 1
That produces eight top-flight league championships.
The 2026 Saudi title completed this four-country sequence.
This achievement reflects adaptability.
English football, Spanish football, Italian football and Saudi football presented very different tactical environments and different stages of Ronaldo’s career.
Ballon d’Or Awards Are Not Team Trophies
This distinction matters for SEO accuracy.
Cristiano Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or awards:
2008
2013
2014
2016
2017
But those should not be added to his team trophy count.
The Ballon d’Or is an individual award.
The same applies to:
- European Golden Shoes;
- league Golden Boots;
- UEFA Player of the Year awards;
- FIFA The Best awards;
- Pichichi trophies;
- Serie A top-scorer awards;
- Saudi Pro League Golden Boots.
They belong in Ronaldo’s individual honours section, not in the count of team trophies.
Mixing individual awards and team titles is one of the easiest ways online trophy lists become misleading.
Cristiano Ronaldo Trophies vs Cristiano Ronaldo Records
Another important distinction:
A trophy is not the same as a record.
Winning Euro 2016 is a trophy.
Scoring 146 international goals is a record.
Winning five Champions Leagues is a trophy achievement.
Scoring 140 Champions League goals is a record.
Real Madrid’s 2017 La Liga championship belongs in the Cristiano Ronaldo trophies article.
His 451 official Real Madrid goals belong primarily in the Cristiano Ronaldo Records and Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid pages.
Keeping those search intents separate strengthens the entire Cristiano Ronaldo pillar.
The Major Trophy Ronaldo Never Won
There is one obvious absence from the Cristiano Ronaldo trophies cabinet:
the FIFA World Cup.
Ronaldo played at six World Cups between 2006 and 2026.
He became the first man to score at six different editions.
But Portugal never won the competition during his career.
His best team finish was fourth place in 2006.
That does not erase his international success.
Ronaldo won Euro 2016 and two Nations League titles.
Still, the World Cup remains the greatest team trophy missing from his career.
The News Ink covers that story separately in the Cristiano Ronaldo World Cup cluster.

Conclusion: Cristiano Ronaldo’s Trophy Cabinet Spans Four League Systems and International Football
The Cristiano Ronaldo trophies collection reflects almost every major phase of his career.
It began quietly in Portugal.
Sporting CP provided the first silverware through the 2002 Portuguese Super Cup.
Manchester United then transformed the scale of the trophy cabinet.
Ronaldo won three consecutive Premier League titles, domestic cups, the FIFA Club World Cup and his first Champions League.
Real Madrid produced the greatest concentration of success.
Four Champions League titles arrived during nine extraordinary seasons.
So did La Liga championships, Copa del Rey titles, Club World Cups and super cups.
Juventus added five more trophies in Italy.
Two Serie A championships confirmed that Ronaldo could win another major league after leaving Spain.
Portugal then changed the meaning of his international career.
Euro 2016 gave the country its first major senior tournament title.
The 2019 Nations League added another trophy.
In 2025, at age 40, Ronaldo helped Portugal win the competition again, scoring in the final against Spain.
Then came Saudi Arabia.
For more than three years after joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo scored heavily without winning the Saudi league.
In May 2026, that changed.
Al Nassr needed victory on the final day.
Ronaldo scored twice.
The club beat Damac 4-1 and became Saudi champions.
That trophy gave Cristiano Ronaldo an extraordinary league sequence:
England
Spain
Italy
Saudi Arabia
Eight league titles across four countries.
Under the transparent player-honours methodology used in this article, the Cristiano Ronaldo trophies total stands at 35 senior team titles.
That figure includes:
1 with Sporting CP
9 with Manchester United
15 with Real Madrid
5 with Juventus
2 with Al Nassr
3 with Portugal
But the total should never be presented without explaining the methodology.
Real Madrid, for example, officially lists 16 club trophies during Ronaldo’s period there, while FIFA has described his individual Madrid haul as 15. The difference illustrates why football trophy totals can vary even when both sources are credible.
The better question is therefore not simply:
How many trophies did Cristiano Ronaldo win?
It is:
What did those trophies represent?
The 2008 Champions League represented his emergence as the world’s best player.
La Décima represented Real Madrid’s return to European supremacy.
Euro 2016 changed Portugal’s football history.
The 2025 Nations League demonstrated remarkable longevity.
And the 2026 Saudi Pro League title proved Ronaldo could still captain a championship-winning club at 41.
The World Cup remained beyond him.
So did Champions League glory with Juventus.
No football career achieves every possible objective.
But few trophy collections span so many leagues, countries, competitions and different stages of one player’s life.
That is what makes Cristiano Ronaldo’s trophy cabinet historically significant.
