Manchester City are closing in on a deal to sign England midfielder Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest. Anderson prefers a move to City over rivals Manchester United, though Forest value the 23-year-old at over £70m.

Meanwhile, several Premier League clubs are chasing England Under-19 centre-back Samuel Amissah, 18, from Fulham FC, including Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea.

Liverpool FC have identified 19-year-old RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. The deal could cost around £87m.

In managerial news, Tottenham’s top targets this summer are former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto De Zerbi, while former player Robbie Keane may be considered if they are relegated to the Championship.

Arne Slot’s position at Liverpool could face scrutiny, with former Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso the preferred successor.

On transfers, Arsenal will sign Ecuador defender Piero Hincapie, 24, from Bayer Leverkusen permanently. The Gunners may sell a first-team player this summer, with Norway midfielder Martin Odegaard, 27, and Brazil winger Gabriel Martinelli, 24, among the potential candidates.

Manchester United plan contract talks with Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes, 31, after the World Cup. Chelsea and City are interested in Bayern Munich’s 21-year-old Germany midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic, valued at €65m (£56m).
